Using APIs for Scholarly Research In-Person

Do you want to look for patterns across a large volume of articles? Want to do more with PubMed? Learn how to download only the data you need, in a format you can analyze. Science and Engineering Librarian Gretchen Sneff and Collections Analysis Librarian Karen Kohn will explain to you what APIs are and how they can be helpful for your scholarly research. APIs let you query a database and retrieve and download data in a machine-readable format. Many scholarly research databases have opened their APIs to researchers for projects like text mining, network mapping, and other data-based research. Join us to find out how what's available through APIs and learn about tools you can use to access them.

Please contact Will Dean with any questions.
