Win at Journal Club: Tools for Appraising Articles (Thursday Thirty) Online
This workshop will be offered as an online session via Zoom. You must register for this workshop. You will receive a registration confirmation email, which includes the Zoom link for the workshop. On the day of the workshop, participants should log into their temple.zoom.us accounts in order to skip the waiting room. If participants are not Temple affiliates, they should use their first and last names in order to be admitted to the session. Participants do not need a video camera or a microphone, but will need an audio connection to hear the instructor.
Thursday Thirty sessions are half-hour workshops presented on a very specific topic. Journal clubs are effective ways to share and discuss new research that is relevant to your field. But is there an easier way to evaluate an article's methods and results? Come to this thirty-minute session to learn more efficient ways to appraise the literature for validity, results, and applicability. You’ll leave with some checklists that you can easily integrate into your critical appraisal practice.
