Textbook Affordability for Health Sciences Courses Online

Textbook affordability is often a topic in higher education. One solution to textbook affordability is to use Open Educational Resources (OER) instead of traditional commercial textbooks. OERs are more than just textbooks and they have other advantages, like inclusiveness, accessibility, and timeliness. After this workshop, you will be able to define OER, learn where to find them, and understand how open licenses work. You will also be introduced to open pedagogy, where students create the course content.

Register to attend the live session or to receive a copy of the recording.

This workshop will be offered as an online session via Zoom. You must register for this workshop. You will receive a registration confirmation email, which includes the Zoom link for the workshop. On the day of the workshop, participants should log into their temple.zoom.us accounts in order to skip the waiting room. If participants are not Temple affiliates, they should use their first and last names in order to be admitted to the session. Participants do not need a video camera or a microphone, but will need an audio connection to hear the instructor.

Please contact Courtney Eger, courtney.eger@temple.edu with any questions.
