Graphic Design for Visual Abstracts Online

Scholarly medical and healthcare journals are increasingly requiring visual abstracts to supplement published articles. These infographics can also be used to promote your research on social media, at conferences, and more. Attendees at this workshop will learn the components of a visual abstract, as well as benefits and drawbacks. We will go over the process to create your own visual abstract and cover which tools to use, focusing on the free resource Canva. Graphic design basics will be introduced. This is an installment in the Skills in September series, where we hope to help build your professional skills in publishing and presenting!

It is recommended that you sign up for a free Canva account prior to this workshop, if you wish to follow along during the presentation.

Register to attend the live session or to receive a copy of the recording.

This workshop will be offered as an online session via Zoom. You must register for this workshop. You will receive a registration confirmation email, which includes the Zoom link for the workshop. On the day of the workshop, participants should log into their temple.zoom.us accounts in order to skip the waiting room.
